The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has created a food safety management pack called Safer Food Better Business (SFBB) which has been developed to help small catering businesses such as restaurants, cafés and takeaways comply with food hygiene regulations introduced in January 2006.
You can download the full Safer Food Better Business SFBB pack as well as an introduction explaining how to use it from the FSA website.
The Safer Food, Better Business (SFBB) pack is based on HACCP and follows the 4 C’s;
•Cross Contamination
•Cleaning
•Cooking
•Chilling
The SFBB is a national recognised scheme and using it will have a positive impact on your Star Rating on the door on the score scheme.
Using this pack will help you to:
•comply with food hygiene regulations
•show what you do to make food safely
•train staff
•protect your business's reputation
•improve your business, such as by wasting less food.
