BRC v6

After many months of consultation with Food Industry Experts and the Major Retailers the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety v6  will now come into force on 1st January 2012.


The BRC v6 Standard is now available and can be purchased from the BRC Bookshop.


BRC v5 can be used up to January 2012.

A brief summary of the major changes in BRV v6 against BRC v5 are;


Expanded sections on HACCP, Supplier & Raw Material Approval, Foreign Body Control, Hygiene & Housekeeping and  Allergens.


The voluntery unannounced audits will be changing into a 2 stage audit with the 1st stage a GMP audit and the 2nd stage focusing more on the paperwork.
